IDS or PIDS?

Intruder Detection systems are building focused, dependent on monitoring multiple points of entry (doors & windows) around the building, whereas PIDS cover the whole perimeter of a site, meaning intruders are detected before they reach the building, so are more prevalent on, for example,  Government buildings where a breach of the building is more consequential.

What We Offer

Our fire detection systems are automated networks of sensors (smoke, heat, flame) and manual call points that detect early fire signs and trigger alarms to ensure safe evacuation. They connect to a central control panel to initiate alerts and if required contact emergency services, crucial for reducing risk in both occupied and empty buildings.

Fire system categories

Fire system are categorised by life protection (L) this is based on the system designs capacity to detect fire and warn occupants to ensure safe evacuation, classified by coverage levels from L1 (highest) to L5 (specific). Key categories include L1 (all areas), L2 (escape routes/high-risk areas), L3 (escape routes/adjoining rooms), and L4 (escape routes only).

01

Addressable or conventional

Addressable fire alarm systems are generally superior, providing exact, device-level location data and reducing false alarms for medium-to-large buildings. Conventional systems are cheaper upfront and better suited for small, simple, or low-complexity premises.

While addressable systems have higher equipment costs, they often save money on cabling and maintenance over time.
